Any business firm small or giant, infant or grown up cannot stand alone as an island; like it or not it lives in an environment where multiple interactions do exist. In the course of its endeavor up on its desired growth ladder, it may encounter many climb-ups and fall-downs resulting from the effects of its surrounding and/or its own internal factors. Depending upon its preparedness the magnitude of its gains from a particular environmental opportunity may be in significant folds. While on the other hand, if the situation it encounters is an adverse one its effect may not be just limited to simple fall down figures but rather threatening to its very existence. The degree of preparedness depends up on the firms’ way of thinking, behaving, and doing the things that are necessary for the achievement of its ultimate purpose or just a portion of it.
